Requirements
What we're looking for
- University degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, Data Science, Automation, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or similar.
- Demonstrable experience in computer vision, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, and/or Deep Learning.
- Experience in Python and AI/vision libraries such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, OpenCV, Scikit-learn, Ultralytics, or other equivalents.
- Practical knowledge of the model lifecycle: data acquisition, preprocessing, training, validation, optimization, deployment, and monitoring.
- Experience in models for detection, segmentation, classification, tracking, temporal analysis of sequences, or anomaly detection.
- Ability to work with real, variable, noisy, or incomplete data, and to translate business or process needs into viable technical solutions.
- Technical autonomy, decision-making criteria, communication skills, and client orientation.
- Sufficient English level for technical documentation, interaction with partners, and participation in collaborative projects.
Nice to have
Additionally, a PhD or Master's in Artificial Intelligence, computer vision, or data science, as well as experience in public or private R&D+i projects, will be additionally valued. Knowledge of multispectral, hyperspectral, thermal, 3D, LiDAR imaging or advanced sensors will also be a plus.

The role
To this end, at AINIA we want to hire a Computer Vision, Deep Learning and Applied AI Engineer to reinforce our Sensors and Robotics line within the Digital Transformation Unit.

What you'll do
- Lead and technically execute R&D+i projects based on computer vision, artificial intelligence, and deep learning.
- Design image analysis solutions for detection, segmentation, classification, tracking, variable estimation, and anomaly detection tasks.
- Define strategies for data acquisition, processing, labeling, and validation, including the generation of datasets and ground truth criteria.
- Develop AI models applied to visual and multimodal data.
- Evaluate different Machine Learning and Deep Learning architectures, optimizing their accuracy, robustness, explainability, and generalization capability.
- Integrate models into prototypes, software applications, Edge systems, or local/real-time oriented processing platforms.
- Collaborate with sensing, automation, robotics, software, and business profiles to translate advanced developments into applicable solutions in industrial environments.
- Participate in the preparation of proposals, technical reports, results reports, and meetings with clients or technological partners.
- Identify opportunities for AI application in agri-food and industrial processes, providing technical criteria and an applied vision.
