Platform & Cloud Architect

MISSION Contribute to the design and governance of architecture solutions for the execution of strategic projects, providing a comprehensive vision of Cloud Infrastructures and Platforms. Participate in AXA Group forums, representing the interests of AXA Spain, ensuring that local designs align with global standards and acting as a liaison between the Architecture and IT Operations teams. Coordinate and lead, when necessary, the definition of specific architectures, guaranteeing regulatory compliance, consistency, and cost optimization. MAIN ACTIVITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES Define and govern the platform architecture strategy in multi-cloud (Azure and AWS), aligning global standards with the requirements of AXA Spain and coordinating with international teams. Design and supervise deployment models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, containerized, serverless), orchestration, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Lead the integration of platform capabilities with application servers and databases, ensuring performance, scalability, security, and cost efficiency. Define network architecture (VPC/VNet, VPN/ExpressRoute/Direct Connect, SD-WAN, DNS, TLS, IPv6) and security controls (IAM, encryption, key management, policies), considering the European and regulatory context (GDPR). Represent AXA Spain in external forums, conferences, and industry groups, articulating the architectural vision and gathering feedback for future requirements. Act as a liaison between Architecture and Operations, guaranteeing alignment in designs, operations, and incident management. Review and complement designs from other architects, ensuring compliance with Group rules and standards. Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into architectural designs, prioritizing European regulations and local requirements. Facilitate migrations to cloud platforms, evaluating risks and planning the transition. Promote and create DevOps/DevSecOps practices, observability, performance optimization, and cost management. Create and maintain architecture artifacts: diagrams, standards, decision records. PROFILE Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or similar. Experience: 8+ years in IT/architecture, with at least 4-6 years in cloud architecture (Azure and AWS). Experience in the design and delivery of platform architectures for regional or global deployments. Technical knowledge: Cloud services, deployment models, and native patterns. Azure and AWS in practice, including architectures and infrastructure services. Networking: VPN/DX, VPC/VNet, peering, DNS, TLS, load balancing. Application server platforms (WebLogic, WebSphere, JBoss, Tomcat). Databases: SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, NoSQL. DevOps, CI/CD, IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation/ARM), containers (Docker, Kubernetes). Security, compliance, IAM, encryption, and data protection (GDPR). Languages: English and Spanish at a professional or advanced level; other languages are an advantage. Skills: Effective communication and negotiation in international environments. Project management and coordination capacity in global teams. Technical leadership and strategic decision-making skills.
