The role

We are looking for a person to join us with an Internship Contract in the position of Zoological Veterinary Pathology, to join our team at Barcelona Zoo for 12 months, in collaboration with the Veterinary Pathology Diagnostic Service (SDPV) of the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). This person will participate, assuming responsibilities, in all tasks related to veterinary pathology at Barcelona Zoo.

How you'll work

The internship period will be from October 20, 2026, to October 19, 2027.

The person who joins will develop their functions both at Barcelona Zoo and at the Veterinary Pathology Diagnostic Service (UAB), with an approximate distribution of 60% at the Zoo and 40% at the UAB.

At the UAB, they will participate in the activities of the SDPV pathology internship and residency program, including all phases of the histopathological diagnosis of Zoo cases, also integrating the results of cultures and other complementary tests.
