The role

Description

Senior Researcher specializing in biohydrometallurgy to carry out the monitoring, management, and technical execution of R&D&I projects through the application of microorganisms (bacteria, fungi, consortia, etc.) for the bioleaching of metals present in different matrices (electronic waste, mining by-products, etc.). Experience in executing R&D projects in this field at the laboratory level, both in flasks and fermenters, designing laboratory experiments, analyzing results, and discussing them.

Nice to have

Experience in genomics and molecular biology.
Ability to technically coordinate consortia.
Personnel management.
Generation of ideas and proposal of new R&D projects in national and international calls.
Drafting of reports, technical documents, and articles. Searching for scientific and technical information. Liaising with companies, universities, and public research bodies.
Intermediate level of English is essential.

Requirements

Minimum education: Master's degree in biotechnology, molecular biology, etc.
Minimum experience: At least 5 years of experience in the technical execution of R&D projects in the field of biohydrometallurgy.
Management of technical consortia. Drafting of justifications and technical reports, scientific articles, and attendance at conferences.
Languages: Upper-intermediate level of English, both spoken and written.
Other requirements: Experience in genomics and molecular biology will be valued. Experience in personnel management.
Skills: Leadership, ability to work both in a team and independently, results-oriented approach, problem-solving ability, flexibility, capacity for learning and adaptation.
