Finance Manager

As a Finance Manager, you will assume financial responsibility for a portfolio of approximately 4 clients, working directly with their management teams, CFOs, founders, and other players in the investor ecosystem.
Your mission will be to ensure the quality and reliability of financial information, but also to transform it into analysis, recommendations, and tools that help clients make better decisions and support their growth.

Main responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze financial and management information for CFOs and C-Level teams.
• Develop and monitor business plans, budgets, P&L, and cash flow forecasts.
• Analyze margins, variable contribution, sales, costs, and variances against the business plan.
• Identify trends, risks, and opportunities and translate them into concrete recommendations for management.
• Coordinate closing processes, financial reporting, and relationships with external auditors.
• Ensure the reliability of financial statements and compliance with accounting and statutory requirements.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency in financial processes.
• Design and implement procedures and solutions that enable clients to standardize and scale their processes.
• Participate in fundraising, investment, and M&A projects, preparing and managing the financial information required throughout the different stages of the transactions.
• Act as a trusted financial advisor for clients, managing projects with a high degree of autonomy.

At Catenon, we are supporting a boutique firm specialized in financial management, Corporate Finance, and M&A, with a strong presence in the Tech, Biotech, startup, and investment fund ecosystem, in the recruitment of a Finance Manager for their Barcelona office.
We are looking for a financial profile with a solid background in Big4 auditing, who wants to take the next step in their professional career and move into a role much closer to the business, with autonomy, direct client exposure, and involvement in growth projects, fundraising, and corporate transactions.

What we are looking for:

• University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
• Approximately 4-5 years of experience in financial auditing at a Big4 firm or equivalent environment.
• Solid technical foundation in accounting, financial statements, and financial analysis.
• Ability to interpret P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements and translate financial information into business conclusions.
• Highly analytical, structured, and rigorous profile, with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact with senior management-level stakeholders.
• Autonomy, adaptability, and client orientation.

Como Finance Manager asumirás la responsabilidad financiera de una cartera aproximada de 4 clientes, trabajando directamente con sus equipos directivos, CFOs, founders y otros actores del ecosistema inversor.

Principales responsabilidades:

•Preparar y analizar información financiera y de gestión para CFOs, founders y equipos C-Level.
•Elaborar y realizar el seguimiento de business plans, presupuestos, P&L y previsiones de Cash Flow.
•Analizar márgenes, contribución variable, ventas, costes y desviaciones respecto al plan de negocio.
•Identificar tendencias, riesgos y oportunidades y trasladarlos a recomendaciones concretas para la dirección.
•Coordinar los procesos de cierre, reporting financiero y relación con auditores externos.
•Garantizar la fiabilidad de los estados financieros y el cumplimiento de los requerimientos contables y estatutarios.
•Identificar oportunidades de mejora y eficiencia en procesos financieros.
•Diseñar e implementar procedimientos y soluciones que permitan estandarizar y escalar los procesos de los clientes.
•Participar en proyectos de fundraising, inversión y M&A, preparando y gestionando la información financiera necesaria durante las diferentes fases de las operaciones.
•Actuar como interlocutor financiero de confianza para los clientes, gestionando los proyectos con un elevado nivel de autonomía.

¿Qué buscamos?

•Formación universitaria en ADE, Economía, Finanzas o similar.
•Aproximadamente 4-5 años de experiencia en auditoría financiera en Big4 o entorno equivalente.
•Base técnica sólida en contabilidad, estados financieros y análisis financiero.
•Capacidad para interpretar un P&L, Balance y Cash Flow y trasladar la información financiera a conclusiones de negocio.
•Perfil muy analítico, estructurado y riguroso, con elevada atención al detalle.
•Capacidad para gestionar simultáneamente diferentes proyectos y clientes.
•Buenas habilidades de comunicación y capacidad para interactuar con interlocutores de nivel directivo.
•Autonomía, capacidad de adaptación y orientación al cliente.
•Interés por desarrollarse en el ecosistema startup, Tech/Biotech, inversión y Corporate Finance.
•Mentalidad emprendedora, curiosidad y ambición por asumir progresivamente mayores responsabilidades.
