Kitchen Assistant

🎓 Intermediate/Advanced Degree in Cooking and Gastronomy and/or similar. Food Handler's License.

💼 Minimum of 1 year of experience in the position in 4-star hotels or higher.

🗣💬 English, desirable.

🔔 We are offering a position as a Kitchen Assistant to work at Amàre Hotels, adults-only hotels with an exciting combination of live music, exceptional gastronomy, and sophisticated design in prime beachfront locations. Amàre Beach Hotel Marbella is a hotel located on the Costa del Sol, recommended for adults only, just a 5-minute walk from the historic center. With 236 rooms, every detail has been carefully designed to offer the most extraordinary vacation in Marbella.

You will be responsible for preparing and supporting the Chef in the preparation and cooking of dishes, following their instructions to ensure the correct final product.

🔲 Support and supervision: Ensure the achievement of the established departmental goals, as well as compliance with the critical processes and setups of the area, in accordance with the standards set by the hotel. Plan the preparations to be carried out in advance, in order to execute the service with the greatest efficiency possible. Support the Chef in the preparation and cooking of dishes, guaranteeing a quality final product. Collaborate in the setup, maintenance, and takedown of the buffet service.

🔲 Execution and follow-up: Clean, peel, and cut food for the preparation of garnishes. Prepare the simpler dishes following the technical specification sheet, checking the quality of the product and taking care of the presentation established by the organization. Clean your station, work surface, and leave the kitchen clean and ready for the next service. Store incoming products and preserve them properly, ensuring the cold chain is not broken. Place and organize food in the cold storage units and clean them to ensure proper hygiene and preservation conditions. Collaborate in preparing the list of products that have experienced shrinkage.

🔲 Quality control: Verify the quality of the product used to prepare the dishes. Ensure the proper use of kitchen equipment, checking that there are no incidents and reporting them if they occur. Comply with the quality, health and safety, environmental, and data protection standards established by the organization.
