The role
The hotel The One Barcelona needs to hire a person to work as 2nd Chef for 40 hours per week with a replacement contract.
What you'll do
The duties to be performed will be those of the position:
- Perform in a qualified manner the functions of planning, organization, and control of tasks specific to the kitchen and pastry department.
- Collaborate with and substitute for the Head Chef in their specific tasks.
- Achieve the objectives defined with management
- Stay informed and ensure compliance with all legal regulations regarding HACCP that apply to their work area
- Direct, motivate, and prepare the department's collaborators in the development of their work, coordinating, supervising, and carrying out their hiring. Development of direct collaborators to assume responsibilities (delegation) and improve teamwork.
- Implementation and monitoring of: menu rotations, à la carte menus, event menus, etc….
- Organize and coordinate the entire gastronomic offering outside of the points of sale's opening hours.
- Participate in the preparation, control, and monitoring of the department's annual budget, analyzing results and introducing improvements and/or corrections if necessary, to avoid negative deviations, as well as taking advantage of any improvement opportunities detected.
