Requirements

What we're looking for

Practical and demonstrable experience (3-4 years) in the administration and deployment of middleware components:
- Web Servers: Apache, IIS or equivalents.
- Application and messaging servers: JBoss / WildFly, WebSphere Application Server (WAS), IBM MQ.
- Corporate file transfer: XCOM and Connect Direct.
Experience in the planning and execution of migration and version upgrade (upgrades) projects for middleware software in production environments.
Ability to diagnose and resolve incidents autonomously.

Nice to have

Operating Systems and Virtualization: Windows Server and Linux administration, Active Directory, GPOs. Virtualized environments with VMware and hyperconverged with HPE SimpliVity.
Storage and SAN Networking: HPE 3PAR enclosures, HPE StoreOnce solutions and fiber switch configuration.
Backup and Business Continuity: Veeam Backup & Replication, design of retention policies, restoration tests and Disaster Recovery.
Databases: Administration, monitoring and tuning of SQL Server, Oracle and/or PostgreSQL.

We are looking for a Systems Technician - Middleware and Application Server Specialist profile (between 3 and 4 years of experience) to join our IT infrastructure team in critical production environments within the banking sector.

Cross-functional skills

Management and escalation of incidents with external providers.
Handling of ticketing tools such as BMC Helix or Jira.
Attention to detail, ability to train other team members and a proactive attitude to grow towards other IT infrastructure disciplines.
