The role

As Housekeeping manager, you will lead and motivate a team responsible for ensuring a high level of cleanliness and service throughout the hotel.
Being responsible for the daily management of cleaning operations in the hotel's continuous effort to offer exceptional service to guests, you will also supervise the financial performance of the housekeeping department operations and the efficiency of the laundry service.

What you'll do

Plan, schedule, and organize work to ensure adequate coverage by the housekeeping staff.
Support housekeeping staff in cleaning and preparing rooms during emergencies, incidents, or as needed.
Supervise common areas (lobby, lounges, hallways, etc.) and hotel rooms cleaned and prepared by housekeeping staff (in-house or outsourced).
Regularly organize general cleanings of the hotel and communicate maintenance needs to the maintenance department.
Collaborate with the reception department to assign specific rooms based on guest requirements or special characteristics.
Supervise inventory and control of all housekeeping supplies (cleaning products, amenities, etc.).
Control expenses across all housekeeping areas and participate in preparing the department's annual budget.
Develop and implement procedures to manage the quality of cleaning and laundry services.
Manage and control guest comments, suggestions and complaints, creating and executing action plans.
Supervise and carry out preventive sanitary and hygienic maintenance tasks.
Recruit, interview and train team members.
Provide supervision, feedback, and recognition to team members regarding their performance and development.
