About the role

Nueva Pescanova Group of Companies with its subsidiary NovaNam (Pty) Ltd invites suitable qualified candidates to apply for the vacancy of Continuous Improvement Manager.

What you'll do

  • Analyze production processes and identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, quality, and cost.

  • Design and implement continuous improvement initiatives using tools such as Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, SMED, etc.

  • Actively participate in optimizing the use of raw materials and energy resources.

  • Collaborate in the planning and validation of cost-saving initiatives.

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.

  • Measure and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to productivity, efficiency, and waste.

  • Train operational and technical staff in continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Ensure all improvements comply with food safety standards and regulations (e.g. IFS).

  • Create materials like templates, boards, and activities to share improvement projects and new processes.

  • Prepare reports to update the Plant Manager on project status.

  • Implement the continuous improvement strategy defined by HQ and/or any guidelines that support process improvement.

Requirements

  • Degree in Industrial Engineering, Food Engineering, or a related field.

  • Previous experience in manufacturing environments, preferably in the food industry.

  • Practical knowledge of Lean tools, Six Sigma, 5S, and project management.

  • Awareness of quality and food safety requirements.

  • Advanced English level.
