The role
A person is needed to work in a multidisciplinary technical environment, within an area with great growth potential and interaction with different scientific disciplines. The main mission of the position is to collaborate in the definition and development through to the final product of new fuels with low or zero greenhouse gas emissions, combining computational techniques (e.g., Materials Informatics) with experimental techniques.
Additionally, the challenge must be achieved in an agile working environment in which developments are brought to commercial products in very short timeframes, generating experimental evidence that is attractive to users, working with a team of highly qualified people and incorporating the best practices from top-tier international universities and R&D centers, with which close relationships must be maintained.
All this will allow the candidate to face complex and technically very challenging work in which they will have the opportunity to be a key piece in the development of future products and services within a leading company.
What you'll do
Lead the development of fuels and Lubricants (road, aviation and maritime) by combining computational and experimental techniques.
Develop techno-economic models such as total cost of operation analysis for mobility solutions or life cycle carbon footprint analysis
Take responsibility for the monitoring and control of development, ensuring the achievement of objectives.
Coordinate the tasks of the multidisciplinary team assigned to their product or activity, interacting with the various parties involved and resolving unforeseen problems that may arise during development.
Evaluate new technologies and perform continuous technological surveillance of their area to ensure the updating of their knowledge and the technical quality of their activity.
Contribute ideas, alternatives and improvements to processes and products in their work area.
Maintain direct and fluid contact with universities and R&D centers to integrate the latest developments.
Participate in national and international working groups related to their field of knowledge.
