The role

What You Can Expect:

At Rhenus, we are looking for a new National Traffic Operator to join our team in San Fernando de Henares (Madrid).

Your mission is to act as a specialist in transport and freight logistics to ensure the efficient and timely delivery of products. This role is vital for the proper management of transport, communication with transport service providers as well as correspondents and partners, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards. The Traffic Operator acts as a specialist to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
The Traffic Operator may handle international traffic, automotive traffic, and/or national traffic (Mainland, Islands, and TRW).

What you'll do

- Manage transport routes to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
- Review scheduling and the assignment of vehicles and drivers.
- Manage transport KPIs and make adjustments as needed.
- Implement and maintain Transport Management Systems (TMS) as a specialist.
- Properly manage transport service providers.
- Maintain good relationships with carriers and logistics providers.
- Ensure compliance with transport regulations and safety policies.
- Maintain accurate records of all transport and logistics activities.
- Manage and resolve issues related to the transport of goods.
