What You Can Expect:
- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of A, B, C & (D customers -where justified by life cycle and potential). This pipeline should be clean and constantly refreshed with new customers and opportunities.
- Conduct customer visits to understand logistics needs, trade lanes, volumes, and challenges.
- Comply with all company rules regarding CRM usage/KPI and maintain a pipeline exclusively through the CRM.
- Constant focus on hunting new relationships with A, B, C & (D customers -where justified by life cycle and potential)
- Maintain strong relationship with existing A, B, C & (D customers -where justified by life cycle and potential.
- Provide accurate forecasts and maintain a healthy sales funnel.
- Handover new customers with clear SOPs to operations teams.
- Resolve customer issues in a fast and timely manner to maintain satisfaction
- Monitor customer and market development
What You Bring:
- Bachelor degree in Business/ Logistics or equivalent experience in logistics;
- A minimum of 5 years field sales in freight forwarding (especially Air & Ocean)
- Decisions and Problem Solving - analyzing information, evaluating results and using effective approaches for choosing a course of action or developing appropriate solutions
- Results Orientation - demonstrates a clear understanding of expected outcomes. Sets personal targets and strives to achieve them.
- Client Focused - able to anticipate and identify customers' needs and expectations and what constitutes positive customer satisfaction
- Ability to think out of the box (Entrepreneur)
- Strong work-ethic and integrity
- Willingness to travel as well as fluency in written and spoken English
- Strong negotiation skills
