Telefónica is driving the development of an Artificial Intelligence Gigafactory in Spain, with the aim of providing Europe with its own AI computing capabilities and strengthening its technological sovereignty.

Within this context, our engineering team develops a fundamental part of the software that makes it possible: from the customer portal to developer tools (APIs, SDKs, libraries, CLI) and the datacenter observability stack.

We work with cloud-native technologies and high-performance environments, contributing to building large-scale AI infrastructure in an innovative and strategic setting.

What will your mission be? 🎯

Be an active part from day one in developing a real product, contributing to building key platforms and tools for large-scale AI infrastructure.

You will learn by working with modern technologies and participating in the development of solutions that directly impact a strategic project for Europe.

What you'll do

How will you contribute your skills to the purpose of the scholarship? 💼

  • Participate in the development of applications and tools within the AI Gigafactory ecosystem.
  • Collaborate on real projects alongside senior engineers through pair programming and code reviews.
  • Contribute to improving the customer portal, developer tooling, or observability systems.
  • Learn and apply good development practices and participate in technical architecture conversations.

What we're looking for

  • Basic programming knowledge (JavaScript/TypeScript or similar).
  • Interest in web or backend development.
  • Foundations in technologies such as Node.js or modern frameworks.
  • Willingness to learn and technological curiosity.

  • Familiarity with APIs or development tools.
