Requirements
What we're looking for
A benchmark for the "all in" and "in a pack" values.
Strategic thinking/visioning → Connect sales operations with business objectives and those of each vertical.
Ability to develop people → Coach managers and reps, helping them grow and maintaining high motivation.
Ability to connect with young teams → Truly connect with a young sales team: speak their language, be in the trenches and not just in reporting, give direct and constant feedback, and motivate with challenges, recognition, and pace. You must be someone the team wants to follow, not just someone they report to.
Organization and planning → Structure the team, set priorities, and ensure focus on critical KPIs.
Communication → Convey vision, feedback, and clear reports to their team, BL, and founders.
Teamwork → Work with the rest of the vertical's teams (such as mkt or cc) being able to join forces for a common goal.
Ability to hire A Players → Key to scaling from 40 to 80+ sales reps with quality.
Persistence → Push the team toward demanding objectives (tripling revenue, raising ratios).
Nice to have
Competitive exams/edtech sector
Knowledge of the competitive exam world
Degree in engineering or similar
Experience in a scale-up with strong seasonality (call peaks, not just seasonal peaks).
Use of AI applied to sales (roleplays, call analysis, lead scoring).
The role
Polaris is scaling Ucademy's most important competitive exam sales team - 4 Team Leaders, 45+ sales reps, and our sights set on every peak call period of 2027. We need someone who will become a total owner of the result: not to build the engine from scratch, but to take it - it already works - and take it to the next level.
If your favorite place is the sales floor in the middle of a peak call period, if you live in dashboards and decide with data, and if leading to you means getting down into the arena, not just watching from above, this role is yours.
What you'll do
Lead Ucademy's sales area in the educational B2C market, scaling the sales team and multiplying results. You will be responsible for tripling annual revenue, improving the conversion of qualified leads to sales, and providing strategic vision to the Business Lead regarding the last part of the funnel and our students' experience.
Optimize conversion processes and qualified lead follow-up through commercial value
Increase SQL → sale conversion
Triple annual revenue compared to the previous year
Innovate in commercial closing methods
Provide insights to the Business Lead to make pricing, product, and marketing decisions that improve the profitability of the business model by 20%
Generate systematic and analytical reporting for the last part of the funnel
Integrate feedback from the support team to better understand the student and their journey and reduce churn
Scale the sales area to a team of >120 people with solid managers
Turn the sales area into a benchmark for efficiency and predictability
Contribute to the company's global growth and expansion strategy
🤝 REQUIREMENTS
Madrid modality / on-site.
Reports to the Polaris Business Lead. 4 Team Leaders report to them and, through them, the entire sales team.
Essential experience (2 options):
Sales manager role
Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a B2C sales rep.
Manager of a B2C or B2B sales team of at least 20 people and 2 Team Leaders.
Deep knowledge of digital tools and CRMs (preferably Hubspot and Excel/Sheets).
Sales-oriented entrepreneur (CEO or CSO)
Having founded a startup with at least 10 employees or €1M in annual revenue.
Having led the startup's sales team
Hiring process
First 30 days: you master the Polaris funnel and numbers - you know the 4 Team Leaders and their teams, you have listened to calls from all sub-teams, you have a clear diagnosis of where conversion is lost, and you have presented your first own weekly forecast.
First 60 days: the competitive exams playbook is updated and in use, sales rituals are working with the 4 Team Leaders, and the hiring/onboarding plan is underway to arrive at the next peak call period with a full team.
First 90 days: you are responsible for the monthly revenue forecast and you meet it, with measurable improvement in %CR and speed to lead compared to the starting point, and a stable team with the energy to sustain the high season.

In their own words
About the company & team
We were founded in 2021 with a whiteboard and a lot of desire to turn traditional learning on its head. Today we are +140 people, three brands (Atlas, Polaris, and Explora FP) and a very clear mission: to change the way people learn.
Polaris is our Competitive Exams unit: we help thousands of candidates prepare for Administration, Justice, Healthcare, Education, and Security Forces. We sell B2C at high volume over the phone, with an average ticket of ~€2,000, integrated financing, and seasonality very clearly marked by call periods.
Manage and motivate a current team of 40 sales reps with 4 intermediate managers.
Define a scalable sales and management model to grow to approximately 90 people in 12 months.
Establish performance standards and a high-performance team culture.
We are a pack - together we are unstoppable.
We are wild - we break molds and reinvent ourselves every day.__S
We go to death - we give it all, always.__SJ
We are looking for someone who leads by example: listens to calls, gets down into the arena in the middle of a peak call period, and celebrates massively. They live in dashboards and decide with data, but they don't just watch from above. They endure months of pressure without losing the energy they contagiously pass to the team. Intellectual humility and zero ego with feedback. Real ownership: owner of the result, not the process.
