Requirements

What we're looking for

Degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent qualification.
Professional experience in aircraft maintenance, knowledge of the CAMO environment, experience in maintenance planning, major checks or aircraft transitions.
Ability to interpret maintenance programmes and assess their technical, operational and economic impact.
High level of English, both spoken and written.
Ability to lead teams, set priorities and make decisions.
Results-oriented and committed to continuous improvement.

Nice to have

Experience in C Check monitoring and planning.
Knowledge of aircraft transition, induction or redelivery processes.
Experience in negotiation with MRO centres or maintenance providers.

The role

We are looking to bring on board a Planning Leader who wants to take on a strategic challenge within the aircraft maintenance planning area.

Your mission will be to lead and coordinate the Long Term Planning team, ensuring efficient planning of maintenance checks and finding the best balance between safety, regulatory compliance, fleet availability, budget and operational needs.

What you'll do

As Planning Leader, you will be responsible for designing and coordinating the long-term aircraft maintenance strategy. To do so, you will need to integrate different variables, such as:

The requirements set out in the maintenance programme.
The planning and monitoring of major maintenance checks, especially C Checks.
The terms of contracts with aircraft owners and lessors.
The availability and capacity of maintenance, repair and overhaul centres, MROs, and the need for materials and resources.
Fleet availability and operational requirements.
Your goal will be to ensure that every planning decision delivers the best possible technical, operational and economic solution.
Lead and coordinate the Long Term Planning team, ensuring proper organisation and monitoring of C Check planning and managing the creation and modification of the associated work packages.
Define and oversee medium- and long-term maintenance planning.
Analyse different scenarios and propose solutions that optimise costs, availability and compliance with the maintenance programme.
Anticipate needs, risks and potential impacts on operations.
Monitor key maintenance milestones and ensure compliance with established deadlines.
Participate in the selection of maintenance centres and in contract negotiation with MROs.
Oversee the proper progress of planned work and promote corrective actions when necessary.
Drive continuous improvement, efficiency and digitalisation projects within the area.
Facilitate communication, development and coordination of the team under your responsibility.
