The role

At BSM, we are currently looking for a Specialist Technician, Business Projects and Services, based at the Calàbria Central Offices, with an indefinite contract.

What you'll do

The duties defined for this position are, for illustrative and non-limiting purposes:

  • Plan, execute, and control technical activities linked to ICT services and projects within the Operations scope, ensuring compliance with deadlines, quality criteria, and expected results.
  • Provide support to the ICT Service Manager in the preparation, planning, monitoring, and reporting of the portfolio of demands, projects, evolutions, and services.

    • Analyze, specify, and document functional and technical requirements, maintaining traceability until the implementation and validation of the solution.
    • Coordinate the execution of tasks with internal ICT teams, user units, engineering, contractors, and providers, identifying and escalating risks, deviations, dependencies, and blockers.

    • Monitor incidents, requests, problems, and changes, ensuring compliance with service levels and an appropriate resolution according to operational criticality.

    • Prepare, execute, and document functional and technical tests, validate deliverables, and provide support for production deployments, receptions, and transitions to operations.

    • Keep functional, technical, and operational documentation for services updated, including inventories, procedures, integration maps, risks, dependencies, and action plans.

    • Prepare and monitor indicators, dashboards, minutes, reports, and improvement proposals that facilitate service control and decision-making.

    • Collaborate in the economic, contractual, and administrative monitoring of services and projects, including consumption, orders, certifications, licenses, and deviation control.

    • Participate in construction and infrastructure adaptation projects from an ICT perspective, reviewing connectivity, equipment, systems, integration, security, and commissioning needs.

    • Provide technical support in solutions related to infrastructure maintenance, CMMS, sensing, IoT, OT systems, CCTV, access control, communications, and other operational technologies.

    • Propose improvements in processes, procedures, and services, contributing to standardization, automation, maintainability, and the reduction of recurring incidents.

    • Ensure compliance with information security and data protection policies and regulations, communicating detected incidents, preserving information confidentiality, and applying security by default criteria, as well as maintaining the necessary training in the National Security Framework (Esquema Nacional de Seguretat).

    • Ensure compliance with environmental, ethical, and social sustainability (ESG) criteria and the correct monitoring of risk management measures applicable to the workplace, in accordance with internal policies, current regulations, and the company's integral risk model, reporting any possible deviations.

Job requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the case of university education, or 5 years in the case of a Higher Vocational Training degree, in technical functions related to ICT projects or services, provider monitoring, functional or technical support, incident management, and documentation of processes and systems.
