CEO - Promoter – Tech spin-off in the railway sector

Who are we?

BATEA has joined forces with BerriUp, the best private accelerator in Spain according to the annual Funcas report, to identify and support profiles who want to lead the creation of new tech companies.

This time, we are driving the launch of a deeptech spin-off linked to the railway sector, based on technology developed in collaboration with a technology center and companies from the railway industrial ecosystem.

The project is born with the goal of turning advanced technology into applied solutions, with clear potential for international scaling.

We are looking for a person with an entrepreneurial profile and business vision who wants to take on the role of CEO-Founder and lead the project from its initial stage.

What will your mission be?

You will be part of the spin-off's founding team, leading the transformation of a high-potential technology into a viable, scalable, and market-oriented company.

Your responsibility will be to define and execute the business strategy, connect the technology with the needs of the railway market, and build the business project that will take the solution to the international market.

What will your day-to-day look like?

• Validate the business model, market analysis, and the Access to market strategy defined for the company in its interaction with the market to date.

• Build and lead the company's initial team.

• Define the product, business, and financing roadmap.

• Coordinate the relationship with the technology center and the project's industrial partners.

• Lead fundraising efforts (investors, grants, innovation programs).

• Represent the spin-off in the technology, industrial, and investor ecosystems.

You will be a good fit for this position if you bring…

• Previous experience in business development, strategy, or leading technology projects.

• Knowledge or experience in the railway sector.

• Entrepreneurial mindset, ability to take responsibility and make strategic decisions.

• Experience interacting with innovation ecosystems, technology centers, or startups.

• Ability to engage with investors and structure funding rounds.

• Advanced level of English.

¿Quiénes somos?

BATEA ha unido fuerzas con BerriUp, la mejor aceleradora privada de España según el informe anual de Funcas, para identificar y acompañar a perfiles que quieran liderar la creación de nuevas empresas tecnológicas.

En esta ocasión impulsamos el lanzamiento de una spin-off deeptech vinculada al sector ferroviario, basada en tecnología desarrollada en colaboración con un centro tecnológico y empresas del ecosistema industrial ferroviario.

El proyecto nace con el objetivo de transformar tecnología avanzada en soluciones aplicadas, con un claro potencial de escalado internacional.

Buscamos una persona con perfil emprendedor y visión de negocio que quiera asumir el rol de CEO-Promotor/a y liderar el proyecto desde su fase inicial.

¿Cuál será tu misión?

Formarás parte del equipo impulsor de la spin-off, liderando la transformación de una tecnología con alto potencial en una empresa viable, escalable y orientada al mercado.

Tu responsabilidad será definir y ejecutar la estrategia de negocio, conectar la tecnología con las necesidades del mercado ferroviario y construir el proyecto empresarial que permita llevar la solución al mercado internacional.

¿Cómo será tu día a día?

• Validar el modelo de negocio, análisis de mercado, estrategia de Access to market definida para la compañía en su interacción con el mercado hasta a actualidad.

• Construir y liderar el equipo inicial de la compañía.

• Definir la hoja de ruta de desarrollo de producto, negocio y financiación.

• Coordinar la relación con el centro tecnológico y los socios industriales del proyecto.

• Liderar la captación de financiación (inversores, ayudas, programas de innovación).

• Representar la spin-off en el ecosistema tecnológico, industrial e inversor.

Encajarás en esta posición si aportas…

• Experiencia previa en desarrollo de negocio, estrategia o liderazgo de proyectos tecnológicos.

• Conocimiento o experiencia en el sector ferroviario.

• Mentalidad emprendedora, capacidad de asumir responsabilidad y tomar decisiones estratégicas.

• Experiencia interactuando con ecosistemas de innovación, centros tecnológicos o startups.

• Capacidad para relacionarte con inversores y estructurar rondas de financiación.

• Nivel alto de inglés.
