Project Control Engineer (Civil Works)

At least 5 years of relevant experience in civil works projects.

Experience in planning and cost control.

Advanced knowledge of planning tools: Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Knowledge of Power BI (valuable, but not essential).

Full mastery of Spanish.

Fluent level of English.

University degree in Industrial Engineering or Chemical Engineering.

We are looking for a Project Control Engineer for civil engineering, to be responsible for the definition, implementation, updating, and closing of the planning systems, cost control, and physical progress monitoring of projects. This is a project in Lugo (surroundings).

• Develop a schedule aligned with the selected execution strategy.
• Define and optimize the necessary resources.
• Define the project control system (methods, procedures, schedules, physical progress monitoring, cost dashboards, etc.).
• Implement the project control system (methods, procedures, schedules, physical progress monitoring, budget, dashboards, etc.).
• Define the Project Breakdown Structures.
• Plan to ensure the availability of work fronts on site.
• Plan with the objective of mitigating risks and reducing costs.
• Increase the project team's knowledge regarding main milestones, key durations, and critical paths.
• Supervise the project status, detect possible delays or cost deviations, and propose preventive actions when necessary.
• Provide feedback and lessons learned to improve planning and scheduling methods, while also contributing to the planning department's statistics.
• CAPEX monitoring: estimates, total forecasts, quantities/costs, and expected results.
• Establish cost control procedures.
• Support Project Managers in optimizing and improving the budgeted profitability of projects.
• Prepare and monitor change orders and claims.
• Prepare monthly cash flow forecasts.
