The role

BETWEEN Group is a multinational consultancy in the fields of Engineering and ICT. Currently, BETWEEN has a team of 1000 people working in the automotive industry, Oil&Gas, retail, etc.

We are expanding our team and are looking for a Product Owner specialized in APIs as a product, with extensive experience in a similar role, for a stable and permanent project within one of the technology teams that Between has deployed at one of our main clients.

Someone with extensive experience to operate autonomously in a complex and multi-brand environment.

Mission: as a Technical Product Owner, you will work with APIs (API First) as a product (defining contracts, versioning, and managing consumers). You will be key in decision-making with cross-functional impact, coordinating multiple stakeholders.

What you'll do

Define and communicate the product vision and roadmap, aligned with the strategy and the Unit PO, and shared with stakeholders.
Lead and prioritize the backlog (RICE, Kano, MoSCoW) using Jira.
Create and refine epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Anticipate product needs, lead new initiatives and launches.
Design and evolve APIs: API-first and scalable approach.
Manage their full lifecycle: definition, versioning, rollout, and deprecation.
Main link between stakeholders and development teams.
Clear, structured, and constant communication about progress and decisions.
Management of demands, expectations, and priorities.
Represent the voice of the internal user (API consumers):
Understanding their needs.
Validate usability and adoption.
Gather and incorporate continuous feedback.
Define and monitor product and technical KPIs, data-driven culture.
Establish alerts for early incident detection.
Dashboards (Grafana, Datadog, or similar) for monitoring and analysis:
Technical metrics: latency, uptime, error rate.
Product metrics: adoption, user satisfaction.

Requirements

Experience as a product manager/product owner in API products (API-First) -> defining an API as a product and its lifecycles (API design: versioning, documentation, standards).
Agile / Scrum work environment (writing user stories, backlog management, roadmap, ceremonies).
Data-driven decision-making and definition of product and technical metrics; OKRs.
Negotiation and expectation management with stakeholders and internal consumers, dealing with management, clients, and users.
Goal and results orientation.
