About the role

Job description

At Grupo Planeta, we are looking to bring on a Business Development Manager — Licensing & Brand Partnerships to drive the commercial growth of our authors, content, and publishing projects beyond the book.

Mission

The mission of this role will be to identify, build, and close business opportunities around authors, content, and publishing IP, connecting them with brands, agencies, and strategic partners through licensing agreements, brand partnerships, branded content, activations, and other monetization models.

What you'll do

This is a key role in positioning authors and content as brand assets with potential, generating new revenue streams while always safeguarding the coherence of their narrative, reputation, and cultural value.

What will your day-to-day look like?

Identify authors, content, and projects with potential to be developed as brands.

Build value propositions based on assets such as the author, the content, the community, the narrative, the reputation, or the IP.

Spot collaboration opportunities between authors/content and brands.

Generate and develop relationships with brands, agencies, platforms, media, and strategic partners.

Develop attractive commercial proposals tailored to each opportunity.

Negotiate and close partnership, branded content, endorsement, campaign, activation, or licensing deals.

Coordinate projects with internal teams: editorial, marketing, communications, rights, and other teams involved.

Help define and consolidate this new business line within the group.

What we're looking for
