Requirements

What we're looking for

Previous experience as a Maître of at least 3 years in 5* hotels / Prestigious Hotel Chains / Gastronomic restaurants.
Formal training in catering and/or hotel management.
Result orientation. Knowledge of F&B cost structures.
Leadership capacity for human teams.
Knowledge of coffee service and bar.
High level of English; knowledge of other languages will be valued.
Customer orientation.
Good commercial skills (Training in Upselling and Cross-selling).
Experience in events.
Ease in relations with the Kitchen teams.
Knowledge of sommelier skills.

Nice to have

Knowledge of Symphony is valuable.

The role

At Hospes Palacio del Bailío we are looking for a Maître to perform the following functions:

What you'll do

Planning and control of the Hotel's dining areas.
Lead and motivate the front-of-house team, promoting their development and a good working environment.
Management and participation in billing, collection, balancing, and settlement of receipts.
Manage and supervise the POS operating system (Simphony), guaranteeing its correct configuration, update, and operation.
Supervise the reception and welcoming of guests. Ensure guest satisfaction during their stay in the restaurants, bars, or lounges, as well as ensure service corresponding to the defined standards.
Manage and supervise the department's purchases.
Carrying out inventories, control of ratios, costs, controls of materials, merchandise, etc., used in the department.
Manage department incidents with agility, ensuring an adequate and personalized response.
Perform the customer service tasks specific to the service.
Creation of schedules, shifts, and control of department vacations.
Participate in the updating of the cellar and bar offering.
Coordinate and supervise all types of events, guaranteeing excellence in service and a personalized experience.
Participate in the training of the staff under their charge.
Develop a commercial attitude in order to improve the service indicators of the point of sale and promote the hotel's full range of services.
Implement the necessary means to ensure good coordination of the point of sale with the kitchen.
Applying the Chain's quality standards following the Procedures Manual.
