Would you like to work at the leading company in the energy sector, as part of the AI team contributing your knowledge and experience to face the company's new challenges?

Do you want to be a key element of technological change in the energy transition, applying your knowledge and skills to large renewable energy projects?

ADD YOUR ENERGY TO THE FUTURE!

What you'll do

  • Work directly with sustainable generation technologies and data to understand real problems: what data they have, what problems they face, and how using AI with that data can extract more value from assets.

  • Get down to the data: locate sources, understand their quality, clean information, cross-reference data from different systems, and prepare training or analysis sets that allow for the construction of useful solutions.

  • Test different AI approaches - machine learning, deep learning, generative models, computer vision, or other techniques - choosing in each case the simplest and most effective solution for the specific problem.

  • Develop functional prototypes, test them with users, collect feedback, correct errors, and evolve them until they become tools that can be used in day-to-day operations.

  • Apply AI to images and video in real cases such as asset inspection, object detection, incident classification, element tracking, anomaly analysis, or automation of visual inspections.

  • Integrate models into applications, APIs, dashboards, or existing workflows, collaborating with data, systems, cybersecurity, and business teams so that solutions do not remain as a proof of concept.

  • Measure if what has been developed truly works: accuracy, robustness, response times, ease of use, time savings, error reduction, or any other indicator that demonstrates real impact.

What we're looking for

  • A person with STEM training and a desire to solve real problems, not just build models: Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Data Science, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or other similar disciplines.

  • Practical knowledge of applied AI, machine learning, and deep learning, with the judgment to decide when it is worth using a complex model and when a simpler, more robust, and maintainable solution is sufficient.

  • Experience programming, preferably in Python, and fluency working with data, notebooks, scripts, AI/ML/DL libraries, APIs, databases, and standard development tools.

  • Experience or a clear interest in computer vision and AI applied to images or video: detection, classification, segmentation, recognition, visual inspection, tracking, or automatic analysis of assets and incidents.

  • Ability to deal with imperfect, incomplete, or scattered data, understand its limitations, and still build useful, explainable, and results-oriented solutions.

  • Autonomy to advance from a poorly defined need to a first solution: asking, researching, testing, iterating, and presenting results clearly.

  • Good communication with technical and business profiles, with the ability to explain what a model does and what impact it can generate on the operation.

What you'll get

  • You will join an IBEX 35 company with international presence and more than 40,000 employees.

  • You will enjoy a competitive salary, social benefits, and work-life balance measures.

  • You will work in a dynamic, highly qualified team in an international work environment with innovative projects.

  • You will have a welcome program and extensive training period, where you will get to know the company and how it operates globally.

  • And of course, an ongoing training program that you can develop at the Iberdrola Campus.
