Trading company with over 15 years of experience, specializing in the international buying and selling of marine ingredients with an approximate volume of 45,000 tons annually. Its main clients belong to the food sector, especially: aquaculture feed companies and pet food manufacturers.

What will you do on a daily basis?

We are looking to incorporate a key figure to expand the business and respond to clients. The company needs to strengthen resources to reach new suppliers, clients, and opportunities.

From a clearly trader (purchasing and sales) perspective, your responsibilities will be:

• Manage purchasing and selling operations of ingredients for animal feed, ensuring the profitability and sustainability of the business.
• Develop new product categories within the feed world (vitamins, other functional ingredients, oils, etc.).
• Actively seek new suppliers and clients, understanding the technical and commercial needs of the market.
• Negotiate prices, conditions, volumes, and margins, with a clear focus on economic results.
• Analyze markets, identify opportunities, and detect new growth niches.
• Manage and expand the client portfolio in the animal feed sector (aquaculture, pet food, and livestock).
• Complete follow-up of trading operations, in coordination with the logistics department.
• Establish long-term commercial relationships based on trust and closeness.
• Have an open mind to any business opportunity that may be offered to the company, including markets for humans such as frozen products.

• Previous experience in trading, purchasing-sales or commercial development within the animal feed / feed / ingredients or frozen seafood sector.
• Having worked with multiple ingredients (not just one or two products).
• Proven ability to seek, negotiate and close purchasing and selling operations.
• High level of English essential for an international environment.
• Advanced English and French highly valued
• Valuable training in Business Administration, International Trade, Engineering, Animal Science or related fields.
• Hands-on profile, flexible, with an open mind and not afraid to get involved in day-to-day operations.
• Person with good human and relational skills, close and fitting in small teams.
• Availability to travel occasionally when the business requires it

¿Qué harás en tu día a día?

Buscamos incorporar una figura clave para ampliar el negocio y dar respuesta a los clientes. La compañía necesita reforzar recursos para llegar a nuevos proveedores, clientes y oportunidades.

Desde una perspectiva claramente trader (compras y ventas), tus responsabilidades serán:

• Gestionar operaciones de compra y venta de ingredientes para alimentación animal, asegurando rentabilidad y sostenibilidad del negocio.
• Desarrollar nuevas categorías de producto dentro del mundo del pienso (vitaminas, otros ingredientes funcionales, aceites, etc.).
• Buscar activamente nuevos proveedores y clientes, entendiendo las necesidades técnicas y comerciales del mercado.
• Negociar precios, condiciones, volúmenes y márgenes, con foco claro en el resultado económico.
• Analizar mercados, identificar oportunidades y detectar nuevos nichos de crecimiento.
• Gestionar y ampliar la cartera de clientes del sector de alimentación animal (acuicultura, petfood y ganadería).
• Seguimiento completo de las operaciones de trading, en coordinación con la parte logística.
• Establecer relaciones comerciales a largo plazo basadas en confianza y cercanía.
• Tener la mente abierta a cualquier oportunidad de negocio que se puede ofrecer a la empresa, incluyendo mercados destinados a humanos como pueden ser productos congelados.

• Experiencia previa en trading, compras-ventas o desarrollo comercial dentro del sector de alimentación animal / piensos / ingredientes o congelados del mar.
• Haber trabajado con múltiples ingredientes (no solo uno o dos productos).
• Capacidad demostrada para buscar, negociar y cerrar operaciones de compra y venta.
• Nivel alto de inglés imprescindible para entorno internacional.
• Inglés Avanzado y Francés muy valorado
• Valorable formación en ADE, Comercio Internacional, Ingeniería, Ciencia Animal o afines.
• Perfil hands-on, flexible, con mentalidad abierta y sin miedo a involucrarse en el día a día.
• Persona con buenas habilidades humanas y relacionales, cercana y con encaje en equipos pequeños.
• Disponibilidad para viajar puntualmente cuando el negocio lo requiera
