What we're looking for

- Training: Higher Vocational Training (CFGS) in Transport and Logistics, International Trade, or similar is valued.

- Basic knowledge: Microsoft Office at a user/intermediate level. B1 level of English is desirable.

- Specific knowledge: Knowledge of transport and logistics operations, handling of transport management systems (TMS).

- Experience: minimum 1 or 2 years in traffic, logistics, or similar positions.

- Minimum training period: 3 to 6 months.

The role

What You Can Expect:

At Rhenus, we are looking for a traffic operative to join our branch in San Fernando de Henares (Madrid).

Their mission is to manage and coordinate freight transport operations, ensuring the planning and monitoring of shipments, the relationship with carriers and correspondents, and the resolution of incidents, with the objective of guaranteeing an efficient, safe, and high-quality service, complying with the company's operational and regulatory standards.

What you'll do

- Plan and manage transport routes to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.

- Review the scheduling and assignment of vehicles and drivers, making the necessary adjustments according to operational needs.

- Monitor area indicators and track operational activity.

- Use and keep information updated in the TMS and other corporate tools.

- Manage relationships with carriers, logistics providers, and correspondents.

- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, internal policies, and safety standards.

- Record and keep information and documentation of transport operations updated.

- Manage and resolve incidents related to freight transport.

- Collaborate with other departments to guarantee efficient and customer-oriented operations.

- Carry out the compliance of assigned controls and procedures regarding Compliance.

- Collect evidence of compliance and effectiveness of the controls and procedures assigned in matters of Compliance.
