At this time, we are looking to recruit in Sabadell or San Cugat our future Business Architect in order to execute digital transformation strategies in a coherent and sustainable manner at Sabadell Digital.

The mission of the Business Architecture team is to define and evolve the business models, capabilities, processes, and functional architectures that allow the Bank to execute its digital transformation strategy in a coherent and sustainable manner.

The unit acts as a bridge between business and technology, providing a transversal vision of the organization, identifying strategic capabilities, aligning initiatives with corporate objectives, and guaranteeing the consistency of the enterprise architecture framework.

The objective of the position is to lead the analysis and design of business architectures for the Bank's main strategic initiatives, facilitating decision-making, driving the adoption of standards such as BIAN, and contributing to the evolution of the organization's operating and technological model.

Designs and provides a global vision of the company's IT, creating a single global architecture of applications and technological systems upon which Business services rely. Simplifies IT governance and management by achieving demanded service levels, optimizing costs, and maximizing efficiency.

What you will do in your day-to-day...

The position requires continuous interaction with business areas, transformation teams, solution architecture, data architecture, technology architecture, regulatory areas, and corporate governance bodies.

• Identify, analyze, and model business capabilities, processes, and value streams.
• Maintain and evolve capability maps and corporate operating models.
• Identify opportunities for simplification, rationalization, and transformation.
• Define target functional architectures aligned with the business strategy.
• Translate business needs into capabilities, functional domains, and enterprise services.
• Ensure functional consistency between initiatives and programs.
• Participate in the definition of target architectures and transformation roadmaps.
• Identify dependencies, functional gaps, and evolution opportunities.
• Support the prioritization of strategic initiatives.
• Use the Business Capability Model and the Business Scenario Landscape as a reference framework for banking functional architecture.
• Map initiatives, products, and processes onto BIAN capabilities and service domains.
• Identify functional overlaps, redundancies, and standardization opportunities.
• Apply Enterprise Architecture practices following the TOGAF framework.
• Participate in Gap Analysis activities, Target Architecture definition, and Roadmap development.
• Facilitate alignment between strategy, business, data, applications, and technology.
• Model capabilities, processes, value streams, and enterprise architectures using tools and standards such as ArchiMate and BPMN.
• Develop artifacts for various stakeholders, from technical teams to executive committees.
• Participate in governance bodies and architectural reviews.
• Validate that initiatives comply with defined principles and standards.
• Propose corrective measures when deviations are detected.
• Facilitate discovery workshops and capability definition.
• Coordinate with business owners, product managers, and technology teams.
• Communicate complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Monitor trends in the financial sector and enterprise architecture.
• Evaluate the impact of new regulations and technologies on the business model.
• Contribute to the evolution of the Bank's architecture frameworks and methodologies.
