About the role

Reporting to the Corporate IT Development Area, and within the Benefits team, you will be responsible for leading the comprehensive management of BAU applications in the scope, ensuring the proper delivery of the service by coordinating corrective, evolutionary, and perfective maintenance activities, as well as compliance with committed service levels. You will be responsible for demand planning and monitoring, managing internal teams and suppliers, budget control, and service-related billing, acting as one of the main functional and management references within the Benefits scope at the Company.

What you'll do

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION

  • Leading the comprehensive management of applications in the Benefits scope, ensuring operational stability and proper service delivery in corrective, evolutionary, and perfective maintenance activities.
  • Coordinating the different resources involved in the operation and evolution of applications, managing internal and external work teams, supervising supplier activity, and ensuring proper planning and execution of the services provided.
  • Acting as the ongoing liaison with the Business to understand, prioritize, and monitor functional needs, ensuring their proper attention within the established service commitments.
  • Maintaining ongoing communication with cross-functional IT teams (internal and external) to ensure proper resolution of incidents, implementation of enhancements, and coordination of actions on applications in the scope.
  • Monitoring and controlling service levels (SLAs), ensuring compliance with agreed commitments and promoting continuous improvement initiatives on managed processes and applications.
  • Managing and supervising suppliers, including monitoring service quality, capacity planning, delivery control, and compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Being responsible for budget monitoring in the scope, including managing service-related billing and cost control.
  • Providing ongoing reporting to the direct manager, management, and monitoring bodies, offering visibility into service status, main risks, relevant incidents, and budget evolution.

What we're looking for

  • 7 years of experience in managing application maintenance and evolution services.
  • 5 years of experience in the Insurance Sector
  • Experience in the comprehensive management of corrective, evolutionary, and perfective maintenance services, having assumed responsibilities over the operation, service quality, and functional evolution of business applications.
  • Experience in managing suppliers and multidisciplinary teams, carrying out planning, activity monitoring, capacity control, risk management, and ongoing reporting to service managers.
  • Experience in defining and executing projects, having assumed the role of project manager and managing different work teams.
  • Experience in monitoring and complying with SLAs, defining improvement plans, and controlling service indicators.
  • Ability to liaise with business areas and technical teams to prioritize demand, manage incidents, and define enhancements.
  • Agile development methodologies.
  • Advanced vocational training, Bachelor's degree, and/or University degree in computer engineering.
  • Proficiency in monitoring tools: Dynatrace, Kibana.
  • Use of project management tools (Jira, ServiceNow,...)
  • Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases (MongoDB, SQL, etc.).
  • General knowledge of the Insurance Business, and specifically of Santalucía.
