About the role

At Moeve, we transform energy and mobility to improve the world together, and we need all the talent to make it a reality. This is your opportunity!

In this role, you will be part of the team that develops and improves the optimization models that support the key decisions of our energy parks: what to produce, how to produce it, and with which raw materials, taking into account prices, margins, industrial constraints, and decarbonization goals.

You will work with one of the most advanced optimization tools in the industry, capable of modeling chemical, energy, logistics, and commercial processes with more than 20,000 equations. It is a unique environment to understand the energy business from within, learn quickly, and participate in real decisions with direct impact.

If you are excited by the idea of combining engineering, data, and sustainability to transform the energy sector and directly contribute to improving the efficiency, profitability, and decarbonization of MOEVE, this is your opportunity.

  • Create, maintain, and improve optimization models to better represent the industrial, economic, and energy reality.

  • Review the mathematical quality of the model and make it more robust, more stable, and faster.

  • Design quantitative and analytical solutions that support strategic studies for other areas of the company.

  • Provide support and training to users of the optimization tools.

  • Develop advanced analysis tools and visualization dashboards.

  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and with the Linear Programming software provider.

Who are we looking for

  • Academic degree in Mathematics, Engineering (chemical, industrial, computer science...) or similar.

  • People with a passion for models, data, and statistics.

  • With curiosity, an analytical mindset, and a desire to grow in an environment where engineering, applied mathematics, and business come together.

  • Good level of English and proficiency with Office tools (Excel) and Power BI.

It would be ideal if you also have:

  • Knowledge of Linear Programming tools (PIMS/GRTMPS/G5/AVEVA) or other optimization models.

  • Experience with programming languages (Python, SQL, C++, C#, FORTRAN, Matlab, etc).

Location: Madrid, Torre Moeve
