Requirements

What we're looking for

Theoretical knowledge of the maritime industry.
Intermediate or Advanced Vocational Training in International Trade or Transport and Logistics, preferably
Having completed an official degree less than 3 years ago, and not having previously held a training employment contract linked to that degree.
Results orientation.
Attention to detail and thoroughness.
Interest in administration, invoicing, etc. functions.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Proficiency in Excel and ability to quickly learn new software tools.
Intermediate English level (B1+)
Native / C2 level of Spanish
Willingness to learn.

The role

Internship contract at Bilbao Transporte Marítimo - 1 year (m/f/n)

At DHL Global Forwarding, we are looking for a Maritime Operations Specialist to provide support in the maritime operations area. As this is a training contract, a copy of your degree or fee receipt will be required to formalize the hiring.

What do we expect from you during this one-year training contract?

What you'll do

Receiving the customer's order
Giving instructions to the partner: contact person, shipment execution method, etc.
Managing the arrival of the shipment, which implies: knowledge of the shipping line and the vessel name
Generating the arrival notice of the goods to the client via the agreed channel.
Providing the customs agent at the DHL office from which the vessel departs with the vessel's data and customs documentation
Keeping the Client informed throughout the process
Carrying out the delivery of the goods according to client specifications
Invoicing the Client.
