The role

We are looking for a professional with five to eight years of experience performing the technical functions described, preferably in the procedural/litigation area/department of a law firm, or within the in-house legal department of companies in the Insurance or Banking sector, as a practicing lawyer in charge of directing the company's defense both in and out of court, or in a legal area oriented towards B2B banking or insurance business.

What you'll do

Execute the legal defense of the Company, as a practicing lawyer, in judicial and arbitration proceedings brought by or against the Company, drafting procedural documents and attending trials and hearings for the practice of all types of evidence, as well as in briefs for the filing of/opposition to appeals in other instances.
Instruct and provide support to external counsel in proceedings initiated by/against the Company, defining the defense strategy to be followed with autonomy.
Advise, under the criteria of the Unit, the various areas of the Company, especially those related to proprietary business, on the legal aspects and repercussions of their inquiries, preparing the corresponding technical reports and providing the necessary legal support.
Study and respond to pre-litigation claims against the Company, including matters regarding personal data protection, and prepare and process claims that the Company itself must direct to third parties.
Review, drafting, and defense of the contractual clauses for proprietary insurance business contracts (credit and surety insurance) and of agreements with third parties for product distribution.
Review and drafting of guarantees and bonds.
Comply, on behalf of the Company and under the criteria of the Unit, with requests for information/certifications/requirements from any judicial or administrative authority.
