We are looking for a Data Protection Lawyer to join our team on a temporary basis to cover maternity leave. The selected candidate will provide support in managing privacy projects, regulatory compliance, and advisory services on data protection matters, collaborating with internal teams and international providers.

What you'll do

  • Conduct vendor privacy assessments, identifying data protection risks and defining and implementing mitigation plans.
  • Review and negotiate data processing agreements with vendors, including managing risk escalations and their corresponding acceptance when necessary.
  • Manage data retention projects, developing and maintaining document retention schedules, supporting the implementation of destruction plans, and ensuring the recording of corresponding evidence.
  • Draft, maintain, and update the Record of Processing Activities (ROPA).
  • Analyze and manage requests for access to personal data, conducting the necessary privacy assessments and managing corresponding approvals.
  • Deliver and coordinate data protection training sessions for employees and Privacy Champions.
  • Provide support in coordinating and maintaining the Privacy Champions network, organizing periodic meetings and promoting a privacy culture within the organization.
  • Advise various business areas on privacy and data protection matters, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
