About the role

Sales Development Representative (SDR) – Hunter / BDR – Cybersecurity

Location: Madrid / Barcelona / hybrid (Spain)

Reports to: Head of Sales and COO

Territory: Spain

Main mission

Be the company's outbound prospecting engine: identify, contact, qualify, and hand off qualified sales opportunities (SQLs – Sales Qualified Leads) to the closing team (Account Executives).

100% Hunter / SDR profile: aggressive new pipeline generation through active prospecting, without taking part in technical demos, negotiations, or closings.

The focus is on opening doors and passing on hot, sales-ready leads.

What you'll do

Key responsibilities

  • Intensive, daily outbound prospecting.
  • Identify and contact real decision-makers (CISO, CIO, Risk Manager, CTO, General Management, IT Security Leads) at companies matching the ICP profile: Enterprise – corporate with regulatory needs (ENS, NIS2, DORA, GDPR) or high exposure to threats.
  • Conduct initial discovery to identify real pain points (cybersecurity pain points: ransomware, cloud misconfigurations, identity risks, regulatory compliance…).
  • Qualify opportunities according to strict criteria (BANT / MEDDPICC / CHAMP or similar defined by the company): need, approximate budget, authority, timing.
  • Manage and maintain a high volume of activities.
  • Hand off sales-ready SQLs.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified opportunities (monthly/quarterly target of SQLs delivered).
  • Document all interactions with a high level of detail in the CRM.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to align outbound campaigns and enrich prospecting lists.
  • Attend industry events (RootedCON, Cyber, INCIBE…) as a source of initial contacts.
  • Stay up to date on the Spanish cybersecurity market: current threats, key regulations, and competitors.

What we're looking for

Essential requirements

  • Minimum 2–4 years of B2B prospecting experience (ideally as an SDR/BDR in tech/SaaS/cybersecurity).
  • Demonstrable experience in pure outbound and qualified opportunity generation.
  • Track record of consistently exceeding activity and SQL targets (volume + quality).
  • High tolerance for rejection and resilience (many "no's" before a qualified "yes").
  • Basic knowledge of the cybersecurity ecosystem in Spain: regulations (ENS, NIS2, DORA), key verticals (finance, utilities, healthcare, industrial, public sector), and why companies invest.
  • Strong research and message personalization skills.

How you'll work

full-time

permanent

Competency profile

  • Extreme proactivity and autonomy (does not wait for inbound leads).
  • Focus on measurable results (number of SQLs, meetings scheduled, pipeline generated).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication (persuasive, concise, consultative).
  • High discipline in daily prospecting routines.
  • Ability to build credibility quickly in first contacts.
  • Organized and detail-obsessed with CRM.
  • Continuous learning and adaptability to new tools/tactics.
