The role

What you'll do

Workshop management and organization: Plan work shifts, assign task loads to technical staff, and optimize plant workflows.

Technical supervision: Coordinate and supervise preventive, corrective, and major repair maintenance interventions on rolling stock and its components.

Quality control and regulations: Guarantee strict compliance with railway safety regulations, occupational risk prevention (ORP), and the quality standards required in the sector.

Team management: Lead, evaluate, and motivate the team of technicians, mechanics, and electricians, fostering an efficient and safe working environment.

Resource and stock optimization: Control spare parts inventory, manage spare part purchases with suppliers, and optimize the use of tools and machinery.

Incident resolution: Diagnose complex faults and make rapid decisions to minimize equipment downtime.

Reporting: Preparation of technical monitoring reports, key performance indicators (KPIs), and maintenance status for management.

Requirements

Education: Technical/Industrial Engineering, Higher Degree in Automotive, Mechatronics, or similar.

Experience: Minimum of 3 to 5 years in mechanical or industrial workshop management; previous experience in the railway or heavy vehicle sector is highly valued.

Technical knowledge: Mechanics, pneumatics, electricity, and industrial hydraulics. Knowledge of railway safety regulations is valued.

Competencies: Leadership ability, results orientation, problem-solving, and a high commitment to occupational safety.
