You are the talent we are looking for if you have...
- Higher university degree in Statistics, Mathematics, or another quantitative field and extensive experience in handling advanced database tools. With good actuarial and/or insurance knowledge
- Or a higher university degree in Actuarial Sciences with relevant studies in statistics and extensive experience as an advanced-level data analyst and in predictive model development
- Advanced level required in the handling of database tools (SQL, etc.) and in statistical programming and modeling (R, Python, etc.)
- Analytical and synthesis skills
- Rigor and precision
- Ability to communicate analytical and technical content clearly at a senior level
- Critical spirit and continuous improvement mindset
Nice to have
- Desirable experience in the life insurance sector in areas related to statistical analysis of databases, internal models, and/or hypothesis derivation
- Desirable knowledge of the Prophet liability valuation tool

The role
From the Liability Management Directorate, we need to incorporate a Statistician/Mathematician/Actuary, in BARCELONA/MADRID. The selected person will be part of the Liability Management Department, reinforcing the scope of Actuarial Models and Hypothesis management within the Economic-Financial Area. They will collaborate with a dynamic team of analysts and actuaries who will provide the necessary theoretical-practical training to face every challenge successfully and in an excellent working environment.
Your mission will be
- Derivation, calibration, and defense of the Company's liability actuarial hypotheses
- Evolve calibration methodologies, tools, and processes
- Guarantee the proper incorporation of hypotheses into the liability models
- Calculation of the recurring best estimate actuarial hypotheses already implemented, and derivation and defense of new models. Methodological contrast, defense, and backtesting
- Orientation towards automation, documentation, traceability, and improvement of existing hypothesis derivation processes
- Generation of reports based on conclusions drawn from the interpretation and synthesis of statistical analyses, oriented towards supporting decision-making by Management
- Participation in specific projects for the implementation of hypotheses in the Company's liability valuation model
How you'll work
- Permanent contract.
- Flexible start times (7:30 to 9:30) and flexible lunch breaks (between 45 minutes and 2 hours) so you can manage your own time.
- Every Friday with an intensive working day so you can enjoy the weekend more.
- From June 15 to September 15, intensive working day EVERY day, because we know that in summer you want to enjoy more daylight
- Hybrid work model. Because we believe that spending time in the office is a key factor for developing creativity, and enjoying teamwork.
