At Babel, we are looking for a Product Owner to lead the functional evolution of mobile applications and customer-oriented digital systems, within an urban mobility and real-time services environment.

You will be the main interlocutor between the client and the development teams, ensuring that the delivered solutions respond to the needs of end users, meet business objectives, and maintain a high-quality digital experience.

Functions and responsibilities

• Manage the functional evolution of mobile applications, web services, and customer information systems.
• Act as the regular interlocutor with the contract manager and coordinate communication with the development, design, and quality teams.
• Collect, analyze, document, and prioritize functional needs, incidents, and improvement opportunities.
• Manage and maintain the product backlog, defining clear requirements, acceptance criteria, and priorities.
• Plan and monitor work in progress, ensuring the traceability of tasks, decisions, risks, and deliverables.
• Organize periodic follow-up meetings with the involved parties and perform progress reporting.
• Manage the presence of applications in the Apple Store and Google Play: publications, updates, platform requirements, and possible incidents.
• Analyze metrics regarding usage, downloads, ratings, and user comments, preparing periodic reports with conclusions and proposed actions.
• Channel inquiries and incidents received through the application channels, coordinating their resolution with the technical teams.
• Detect preventive maintenance needs arising from changes in operating systems, app stores, libraries, or third-party services.
• Perform functional and user experience testing before delivery, including field testing when functionality requires it.
• Validate that developments adjust to the needs of end users and propose the necessary adjustments before presentation to the client.
• Identify and evaluate new functionalities, trends, and best practices in mobile applications and digital channels.
• Propose evolutionary improvements based on data, user feedback, service knowledge, and client objectives.
