INTERNSHIP in Continuous Improvement Engineering/Integrated Lean 6 Sigma - Philadelphia Plant, Hospital de Órbigo (León)

We invite you to join our "best in class" team at our Philadelphia Plant in Hospital de Órbigo (León) through a 12-month full-time internship. With over 50 years of history and being a benchmark in the dairy sector and an economic engine in León, this is an exceptional opportunity to learn, grow, and leave your mark in a multinational, dynamic, and constantly evolving environment.

As a Continuous Improvement Engineer Intern, you will be part of our team, driving operational excellence and manufacturing efficiency. From day one, you will have the opportunity to:

• Actively participate in focused continuous improvement teams, applying and learning methodologies such as Lean - Six Sigma and IL6S (Integrated Lean Six Sigma).

• Observe, analyze, and challenge the practices and processes used in the plant.

• Monitor KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), identify causes of potential deviations, and propose corrective actions.

• Train and support plant personnel so they understand and can implement the actions and methodologies to be applied.

• Participate in the selection of process improvement ideas and support their implementation.

• Contribute to the strict compliance with Quality and Food Safety standards, People Safety, and Environmental Protection.

You are the ideal person if you have:

• Academic Background: University degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical, Food, or similar).

• Previous Experience (Not required): We value any previous experience in production plants, especially with a focus on continuous improvement. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification will be valued.

• Tools and Languages: Proficiency in MS-Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint) and a high level of English (written and spoken) is essential.

• Proactive Attitude: Fast learning ability, initiative, excellent teamwork skills, and an open mind to face new experiences.

• Key Skills: Effective communication at all levels, motivation, listening skills, creativity, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Note: To participate in our internship program, it will be necessary to sign a collaboration agreement through FGULEM.

Como Ingeniero/a de Mejora Continua en Prácticas, serás parte de nuestro equipo, impulsando la excelencia operativa y la eficiencia en la fabricación. Desde el primer día, tendrás la oportunidad de:

• Participar activamente en equipos de mejora continua enfocada, aplicando y aprendiendo metodologías como Lean - Six Sigma e IL6S (Integrated Lean Six Sigma).

• Formación Académica: Título universitario en Ingeniería (Industrial, Mecánica, Química, Alimentaria o similar).

• Experiencia previa (No imprescindible): Valoramos si puedes contribuir con alguna experiencia previa en plantas de producción, especialmente con enfoque en mejora continua. Se valorará la certificación Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.

• Herramientas e Idiomas: Dominio de MS-Office (especialmente Excel y PowerPoint) y un alto nivel de inglés (escrito y hablado) imprescindible.

• Actitud Proactiva: Capacidad de aprendizaje rápido, iniciativa, excelentes habilidades de trabajo en equipo y una mente abierta para afrontar nuevas experiencias.
