Senior Product Manager - SOC Agentic Automation

What will your mission be? 🎯

Cybersecurity is being redefined by AI, the exponential escalation of threats, and geopolitical pressure toward greater European sovereignty. Leading in this environment is no longer about incremental evolution, but about the ability to rethink how cybersecurity capabilities are designed, operated, and scaled.

Telefónica is driving the AI Native SOC initiative, which aims to transform the traditional SOC toward the AI-Native paradigm, where data, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity analysts work as a single operating system capable of learning, adapting, and generating continuous value. One of the key workstreams of the AI-Native SOC initiative is SOC Agentic Automation, where we combine deterministic mechanisms and AI agents applied to cybersecurity operations.

As Senior Product Manager – SOC Agentic Automation, your mission will be to lead the SOC Automation product domain: define and bring to production automation capabilities, agents, and AI workflows that improve security operations and accelerate the evolution of the AI-Native SOC model.

How will your capabilities contribute to the purpose of the role? 💼

Define the vision, roadmap, and priorities of the SOC Agentic Automation domain, in alignment with the AI Native SOC strategy.

Decide what the squad builds and in what order: write the PRDs, define success criteria, and resolve scope trade-offs when they arise. Sign off on what is ready for production and drive the execution pace of the multidisciplinary squad.

Coordinate the functional definition and evolution of agents, automations, and AI capabilities applied to triage, enrichment, classification, escalation, analyst support, and operational automation.

Lead the SOC Automation product domain end-to-end, from conception to production and scale, alongside a multidisciplinary team of engineering, AI, and design. Be accountable for the KPIs that move the product and make the product decisions needed to impact them.

Translate real SOC operational needs into prioritized use cases, product capabilities, and automation workflows, starting from concrete N1, N2, N3, and CSIRT problems.

Define success metrics and domain tracking, including adoption, operational efficiency, reduction of manual work, quality of outcomes, and scalability.

Provide product and SOC operations context to architecture and technology decisions, collaborating with the Head of Software and the Data & AI Lead on data platforms, AI pipelines, and cybersecurity tools (SIEM, SOAR, EDR, Threat Intelligence).

Work cross-functionally with Telefónica Tech and strategic customers in co-creation, validation, and operational implementation contexts, ensuring alignment between strategy, product, and delivery.

What capabilities are we looking for in you?

Operational SOC experience: real knowledge of how a SOC works, where the bottlenecks are, which tasks can be automated meaningfully, and how N1, N2, N3, and CSIRT models behave in practice.

Security automation and workflows: experience working with triage, enrichment, escalation, investigation, or response, and with automation capabilities applied to these flows.

Product and technology strategy: ability to structure problems, translate operational needs into clear product decisions, and build roadmaps prioritized by impact and feasibility.

Product development and delivery: experience guiding digital product development, defining scope, user stories, and priorities, and working with modern product methodologies.

Knowledge of the cybersecurity ecosystem: solid understanding of cybersecurity domains, architectures, and platforms, with the ability to reason about operating models.

Basic knowledge of AI and data: familiarity with AI and data concepts applied to cybersecurity, and with the secure operation of AI capabilities (guardrails, observability, evaluation). You don't need to master these technologies—you will work with specialized team members—but you are expected to be comfortable using them.

Technical fluency: ability to credibly engage with engineering, data, and AI teams on architectures, APIs, integrations, pipelines, and deployment, without needing to be a hands-on developer.

Relevant experience in cybersecurity (SOC environments, SecOps, detection engineering, incident response, or security automation).

Proven experience in product management and/or technical programs, with the ability to take capabilities from idea to production.

The person will join an environment where SOC operations, automation, cybersecurity platforms, data, and applied AI intersect. Familiarity with the following will be especially valued:

SOAR, SIEM, EDR, and response workflows.

Data capabilities, dashboards, KPIs, and AI agents applied to operations.

Palo Alto, CrowdStrike, Splunk, Netskope, Cloudflare, or Fortinet platforms.

Automation and infrastructure such as Terraform, CI/CD, Kubernetes, APIs, and observability.

What other aspects do we value? 📚

Previous experience in MSSPs, large SOCs, or cybersecurity operations transformation programs.

Having evolved from a practitioner role (SOC analyst, detection engineer, SecOps engineer, SOAR engineer, or similar) toward real product ownership.

Experience with agents, copilots, AI workflows, or assisted operations capabilities in security contexts.

Experience working with enterprise customers or in co-creation environments with delivery and operations teams.

University degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related technical field, providing a solid foundation for understanding and addressing the technical aspects of the role.

Specific training in cybersecurity vendors or MSSPs.

Technical cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or similar.

High level of Spanish and English, enabling effective communication and collaboration in multinational environments, including leading meetings and workshops.

Como Senior Product Manager – SOC Agentic Automation, tu misión será liderar el dominio de producto de SOC Automation: definir y llevar a producción capacidades de automatización, agentes y workflows de IA que mejoren la operación de seguridad y aceleren la evolución del modelo AI-Native SOC.

¿Como contribuirás con tus capacidades al propósito del rol? 💼

Definir la visión, roadmap y prioridades del dominio SOC Agentic Automation, en alineamiento con la estrategia del AI Native SOC.

Decidir qué construye el squad y en qué orden: escribir las PRD, definir los criterios de éxito, y resolver los trade-offs de scope cuando aparecen. Firmar lo que está listo para producción y dirigir el ritmo de ejecución del squad multidisciplinar.

Coordinar la definición funcional y la evolución de agentes, automatizaciones y capacidades de IA aplicadas a triaje, enriquecimiento, clasificación, escalado, soporte a analistas y automatización operativa.

Liderar el dominio de producto SOC Automation end-to-end, de la concepción a producción y escalado, junto a un equipo multidisciplinar de ingeniería, IA y diseño. Ser responsable de los KPIs que mueven el producto y tomar las decisiones de producto necesarias para impactarlos.

Traducir necesidades reales de operación SOC en casos de uso, capacidades de producto y workflows de automatización priorizados, partiendo de problemas concretos de N1, N2, N3 y CSIRT.

Definir métricas de éxito y seguimiento del dominio, incluyendo adopción, eficiencia operativa, reducción de trabajo manual, calidad del resultado y escalabilidad.

Aportar contexto de producto y operación SOC a las decisiones de arquitectura y tecnología, colaborando con Head of Software y Data & AI Lead en plataformas de datos, pipelines de IA y herramientas de ciberseguridad (SIEM, SOAR, EDR, Threat Intelligence).

Trabajar de forma transversal con Telefónica Tech y con clientes estratégicos en contextos de co-creación, validación y aterrizaje operativo, asegurando alineamiento entre estrategia, producto y delivery.

¿Qué capacidades buscamos en ti?

Experiencia operativa en SOC: conocimiento real de cómo funciona un SOC, dónde están los cuellos de botella, qué tareas pueden automatizarse con sentido y cómo se comportan los modelos N1, N2, N3 y CSIRT en la práctica.

Automatización y workflows de seguridad: experiencia trabajando con triaje, enriquecimiento, escalado, investigación o respuesta, y con capacidades de automatización aplicadas a estos flujos.

Producto y estrategia tecnológica: capacidad para estructurar problemas, traducir necesidades operativas en decisiones de producto claras y construir roadmaps priorizados por impacto y viabilidad.

Desarrollo y delivery de producto: experiencia guiando el desarrollo de productos digitales, definiendo alcance, user stories y prioridades, y trabajando con metodologías modernas de producto.

Conocimiento del ecosistema de ciberseguridad: comprensión sólida de dominios, arquitecturas y plataformas de ciberseguridad, con capacidad para razonar sobre modelos operativos.

Conocimiento básico en IA y datos: familiaridad con conceptos de IA y datos aplicados a ciberseguridad, y con la operación segura de capacidades AI (guardrails, observabilidad, evaluación). No es necesario dominar estas tecnologías, trabajarás con personas del equipo especializadas en ello, pero sí se espera estar soltura en su uso.

Fluidez técnica: capacidad para dialogar con credibilidad con equipos de engineering, data y AI sobre arquitecturas, APIs, integraciones, pipelines y despliegue, sin necesidad de ser un desarrollador hands-on.

Experiencia relevante en ciberseguridad (entornos SOC, SecOps, detection engineering, incident response o security automation).

Experiencia demostrada en gestión de producto y/o programas técnicos, con capacidad para llevar capacidades desde la idea hasta producción.

La persona se incorporará a un entorno donde se cruzan operaciones SOC, automatización, plataformas de ciberseguridad, datos e IA aplicada. Se valorará especialmente familiaridad con:

SOAR, SIEM, EDR y workflows de respuesta.

Capacidades de datos, dashboards, KPIs y agentes de IA aplicados a operaciones.

Plataformas de Palo Alto, CrowdStrike, Splunk, Netskope, Cloudflare o Fortinet.

Experiencia previa en MSSP, grandes SOCs o programas de transformación de operaciones de ciberseguridad.

Haber evolucionado desde un rol practitioner (SOC analyst, detection engineer, SecOps engineer, SOAR engineer o similar) hacia ownership real de producto.

Experiencia con agentes, copilots, workflows de IA o capacidades de operación asistida en contextos de seguridad.

Experiencia trabajando con clientes enterprise o en entornos de cocreación con equipos de delivery y operación.

Titulación universitaria en Ingeniería Informática, Telecomunicaciones, Ingeniería Industrial o un campo técnico estrechamente relacionado, que aporte una base sólida para entender y abordar los aspectos técnicos del rol.

Formación específica en fabricantes de ciberseguridad o MSSP.

Certificaciones técnicas en ciberseguridad como CISSP, CISA o similares.
