Type Approval Material Entry Technician – Madrid

Renfe Alquiler de Material Ferroviario announces 1 position for a Type Approval Material Entry Technician in Madrid.

The selected person will join Renfe Alquiler de Material Ferroviario, performing a position of clearly technical and specialized nature, linked to the type approval, certification, and regulatory management of rolling stock. They will participate in dialogue with national and international railway authorities and bodies and provide support to different business areas and customers. We are looking for a person with a solid technical orientation, analytical capacity, and documentary rigor, prepared to operate in a regulated railway environment with a national and international dimension.

What you'll do

The selected person will perform, among others, the following functions:

Provide support to the Commercial and Rental and Sales Contract Management areas on technical matters related to type approvals and regulatory certifications of railway material.
Provide technical support to the different areas of Renfe Alquiler, in accordance with the guidelines of the Material Area Management.
Carry out technical management and represent Renfe Alquiler before national and international Railway Safety Agencies and Authorities (ERA, ANS, AESF).
Provide technical advice to other areas of Renfe Alquiler and to its customers on matters related to type approval and railway material.
Prepare technical reports and files, as well as manage communications with Agencies and Administrators.
Contract and monitor support services linked to total or partial type approvals and modifications of railway material.
Manage technical documentation and prepare material specifications.
Provide technical support to material rental contracts and perform inspections of material and management systems.
Manage changes of ownership, possessor, and Maintenance Entity before the AESF.
Control information, documentation, reports, and audits with railway entities, customers, and maintainers.
Provide technical support at fairs and events related to Renfe Alquiler's activity.
