Operations and Business Director - Food Industry

We are looking for a Manager in Ourense with experience in business management, operations, and team management within food, distribution, or logistics environments, with the objective of ensuring the profitability and sustainable growth of the company. The person will lead the global business activity, coordinating operations, purchasing, administration, and key commercial relationships, acting as the main link with the ownership.

• Lead the global management of the company and its different lines of activity.
• Monitor economic and operational results.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and process optimization.
• Guarantee the fulfillment of profitability, productivity, and service objectives.
• Manage relationships with strategic clients and supervise the fulfillment of service levels.
• Negotiate agreements with key suppliers and supervise purchasing planning.
• Coordinate warehouse, logistics, and distribution activities.
• Implement control and monitoring indicators for the activity.
• Lead, develop, and coordinate the team of functional managers.
• Supervise budgets, forecasts, and profit and loss statements.
• Participate actively in strategic decision-making alongside the ownership.

The selected candidate must meet the following requirements:

• University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or a similar field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in similar positions, Operations Management, or Business Unit Management.
• Experience in managing multidisciplinary teams.
• A track record in food companies, distribution, the fruit and vegetable sector, consumer goods, or food logistics will be valued.
• Ability to work in environments with high operational demands.
• Profile with a global business vision and results orientation.
• Leadership, negotiation, and influence skills.
• Ability to professionalize processes and organizational structures.
• Experience managing family environments or medium-sized companies will be especially valued.
