Purchasing Director

Princess Canarias is selecting for its hotels a Purchasing Director whose main mission will be the strategic analysis of purchases for the different hotels on each island, ensuring initiatives that allow for continuous improvement within the organization and that guarantee the required quality standards.

The position will be located in Gran Canaria, but geographic mobility between the islands will be required.

Among their functions:

• Plan the operation of the Purchasing Department and the storerooms of the different hotels on each island, proposing possible improvements in procedures and managing the smooth operation of their teams.
• Manage the search for and negotiation with suppliers, seeking the best agreements according to the established quality standards.
• Search for and analyze new suppliers and product alternatives based on the different seasons.
• Supervise and control the stock of the different products. Periodic review of the minimum stock of inventories.
• Analyze deviations in orders from the suppliers assigned to each hotel.
• Perform a periodic analysis of costs, consumption, and prices of the different products. Preparing monthly reports for Management.
• Supervise product quality in coordination with the various department heads and directors.
• Prepare, together with the operations director and the chefs, the purchase forecast for the main products according to the different festive seasons, anticipating possible price increases or stockouts.
