Senior Network and Communications Engineer

Minimum requirements

• More than 5 years of experience in engineering, administration, or advanced operation of corporate networks.
• Education in Telecommunications Network Engineering, Telematic Engineering, or similar.
• Experience working in complex, hybrid, or multi-site environments and in critical infrastructures with high availability and service continuity requirements.
• Solid experience in the operation and support of WAN, LAN, and WLAN networks.
• Advanced knowledge of dynamic routing, switching, corporate firewalls, perimeter security, and IPSec/SSL VPN.
• Experience in monitoring, network diagnosis, incident management, and advanced troubleshooting.
• Experience with Fortinet technology, especially in FortiGate (NGFW) administration, management of firewall policies, NAT, routing, traffic inspection, and log analysis.
• Experience working with telecommunications operators, MPLS/Macrolan circuits, data links, and managed services.
• Ability to work with autonomy in critical technological environments, coordinating with different internal areas, operators, and providers.

• Experience in projects or environments related to SD-WAN, SASE, ZTNA, and Zero Trust models.
• Knowledge and experience with tools from the Fortinet ecosystem such as FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiSASE, and FortiClient.

From Psicotec Executive Search, we are selecting for a leading company in BPO, Contact Center and Digital CX Management services, a Senior Network and Communications Engineer (m/f/x) to manage and evolve its communications infrastructure in hybrid, multi-site, and high-availability environments.

The company is in a moment of growth and technological transformation, with presence in Spain and Latin America, and needs to incorporate a profile with solid experience in complex telecommunications and security infrastructures, capable of guaranteeing the stability, availability, and performance of critical services for the business.

We are looking for a person with a strong technical profile, advanced experience in corporate networks and perimeter security, accustomed to working with WAN, LAN, and WLAN infrastructures, as well as participating in technological evolution projects linked to SD-WAN, SASE, and Zero Trust models.

The selected person will assume, among others, the following responsibilities:

• Administer, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, WLAN, VoIP, and VPN communications infrastructures, guaranteeing their availability, security, and performance.
• Manage connectivity between sites, operating centers, clients, and providers, ensuring the continuity of services.
• Resolve communications incidents at level 2 and 3, performing root cause analysis and follow-up until complete resolution.
• Execute changes, configurations, migrations, and deployments on routers, switches, firewalls, VPN, and communications links.
• Monitor network performance, identifying optimization opportunities and anticipating possible incidents.
• Manage and maintain security environments based on Fortinet technology, including administration of FortiGate, firewall policies, IPSec and SSL VPN, NAT, routing, and traffic inspection.
• Collaborate with telecommunications operators and technology providers to guarantee the quality and continuity of contracted services.
• Actively participate in network and security infrastructure evolution and transformation projects, including SD-WAN, SASE, and ZTNA initiatives.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of operations, support, and communications security processes.
