The role of Claims Handler for Material Damage Auto Claims involves carrying out the activities associated with claims processing, in accordance with management guidelines, to provide quality service to customers.

Some of the more specific duties of the Claims Handler for Material Damage Auto Claims:

Open and review assigned claims files, in order to request the necessary documentation for their acceptance/rejection based on the coverages contracted.

Establishing and reviewing claim reserves to ensure they match the actual cost of the claim.

Handling calls and visits from brokers and policyholders, requesting information about the status of their claim and ensuring quality service.

Performing tasks related to claims processing, until their settlement, in accordance with procedures established by management.

Processing claim payments and corresponding reviews, with the aim of properly closing the files.

Filing documentation in physical or electronic format within the claim files.
