Kitchen Station Chef

Responsibilities

• Organize and coordinate the staff under their charge.
• Comply with the quality, environmental, and occupational risk prevention standards and regulations existing in the company and collaborate with the hotel in their compliance and continuous improvement.
• HACCP: Perform supervision, monitoring, and control of HACCP standards and complete the current records.
• Organize the station they work in regarding mise en place, preparations, order, cleanliness, orders, etc.
• Supervise the cleanliness status of their sector, as well as that of the work equipment.
• Perform the various cleaning and setup operations of equipment and work materials in the kitchen area.
• Collaborate in the cleaning of walk-in refrigerators and freezers, as well as take responsibility for the cleanliness of their work area while complying with food hygiene measures.
• Perform kitchen provisioning and carry out the inventory of their station.
• Control consumption, the shelf life of food, and its utilization.
• Participate in the development, preparation, and presentation of the gastronomic offer of their station.
• Set up all types of services marketed by the hotel and support service activities.
• Perform, in a qualified, autonomous, and responsible manner, the preparation, dressing, and presentation of dishes using the most suitable techniques.
• Collaborate in the ordering and preservation of raw materials and products used in the kitchen.
• Prepare, cook, and present culinary products.
• Collaborate in the setup, service, and breakdown of buffets.
• Review and control the materials used in the kitchen, communicating any incidents regarding them.
• Collaborate in cost and inventory management, as well as in purchasing.
• Control and take care of the preservation and utilization of the products placed at their disposal.
• Take care of and maintain the hotel's equipment in good condition.
• Cover positions established by operational need (grill, show cooking, generic specialty).
• Perform raw material provisioning.
• Help in the preparation and presentation of different types of regional, national, international, and creative cuisine dishes, etc.
• Reinforce other stations if required.
• Comply with the quality, environmental, and occupational risk prevention standards and regulations existing in the company and collaborate with the hotel in their compliance and continuous improvement.
